Don’t Stop Dreaming
Are you feeling stuck in a rut or feeling like you’ve given up on your dreams? You’re not alone. So many people today are feeling stuck. Their feeling stuck because they aren’t going to the gym or exercising regularly; they don’t optimal health or fitness, and the culprit is because their vision is limited. They can’t see beyond their circumstances. They don’t see themselves accomplishing their dreams, being better than they are today or living healthier and fit. They just see more of the same because it’s what they are focused on. What you see in your mind is what you’re going to move toward.
The truth is, we all have vision. Every one of us has a picture in our mind of our self, our health, our fitness and our future. What does your picture look like? Do you see yourself rising higher, overcoming obstacles, living pain-free, losing the extra weight, living an abundant life and having optimal health and fitness? Do you dare to dream beyond your circumstances?
Don’t stop dreaming! Today, why don’t you change your focus? Lift your eyes beyond your circumstances. Get a higher dream, a greater vision for your life, like running a marathon, hiking a mountain or surfing waves in Hawaii. See yourself already achieving whatever it is you desire. Springtime is here and with Spring comes the start of new life. There’s no better time my friend that right now to create the life that you deserve and live on purpose.
Here’s your homework:
Start a “Dream Journal” and for the next 21 days write down three dreams every day. Use a journal book or note application on your smartphone or even a blank sheet of paper will be satisfactory. Be as clear, specific and as bold as possible. The act of writing your dreams down will make them more feel realistic and attainable. “A dream is a goal that isn’t written down.” Now your dreams will become your goals. Isn’t that exciting?! This exercise and process of writing your dreams each day will breathe life into you, stir up creativity and provide you with focus.
Here’s an example of my dream journal entry:
- I wish is to be a NY Times best-selling author in 2018.
- I dream of traveling the world promoting my book and motivating people to live healthy and fit lifestyles.
- I will get paid $10,000 per speaking engagement.
These dreams may seem unrealistic to some and/or outrageous, but they’re my dreams and there isn’t anyone who can tell me they aren’t possible. And your dreams will be your dreams so don’t anyone ever tell you that you can’t do them. Could you imagine telling a child they couldn’t be a Doctor, nurse, teacher, fireman or mother? Of course not! It would be unimaginable to squash a child’s dreams! So why should we hold that same value for ourselves as adults? You have the choice, my friend. “Don’t Stop Dreaming!”
